What year can my child attend?
Manly Community Kindergarten offers an approved kindergarten program for children aged 3.5 to 4.5 years. Children should turn 4 by the 30th June in the year they will be attending Manly Kindy. See the table below to determine when your child is eligible to attend Manly Community Kindergarten.

- 1 July 2020 – 30 June 2021 – Kindergarten Year 2025
- 1 July 2021 – 30 June 2022 – Kindergarten Year 2026
- 1 July 2022 – 30 June 2023 – Kindergarten Year 2027
- 1 July 2023 – 30 June 2024 – Kindergarten Year 2028
You can place your child’s name on the Manly Community Kindergarten waiting list in 2 easy ways.
Families of children offered a place at Manly Community Kindergarten will be contacted from August onwards in the year before their child is due to attend.
If for any reason your child may need special assistance, please notify the centre as early as possible, so that planning can occur for facilities or funding to best support the needs of your child.
Fees
From 1 January 2024, the Queensland Government is making kindy free for families with eligible-age children – that is, those turning 4 years old by 30 June, in the year they attend kindy.
Lady Gowrie Manly Community Kindergarten is a government-approved kindergarten program and offering FREE kindergarten in both our 5-day fortnight programs for all eligible-age children.
For families with eligible-age children, there is no additional fees to attend one of our funded 5-day fortnight programs.
